Wood Textures Essential Paper Pad

The Craft Consortium range of essential paper pads includes this Wood Textures pad, which is perfect for both card making. The 15cm square pad has 40 double sided sheets of 20 designs. The wood textures range from dark brown through to light beige with a couple of more colourful designs and a couple of turquoise ones. The designs are all planks of wood in varying widths both horizontal and vertical directions. 

There are so many uses for these wood texture designs, the darker ones would be particularly good if you are making cards for mens birthdays, Christmas and Fathers Day, the lighter colours can be used for any occasion to create and interesting but fairly neutral background, that gives the impression of texture. The bleached out and turquoise designs would work well with seaside and beach themes. The high quality 180gsm cardstock has a lovely matt finish which would be a perfect surface for stamping. The cardstock is acid and lignin free so it is perfectly safe to use with photographs.

In this example a lighter wood texture has been used for the background of a Christmas card, creating a perfect rustic feel for the die cut stag head and foliage.
