Hi, here’s my last Christmas card for 2024! I was looking for a change from embossing and die cutting so decided to use the Sweet Stocking stamp set to create this pretty pink Christmas stocking with silver glitter hearts for decoration.
To Make The Card
Start with a white 6″ x 6″ blank card and layer it with dark pink card. Die cut a 13.5cm stitched square from silver glitter cared and a 12.5cm stitched square from white card. Ink around the edges of the white card with dark pink ink. Stamp the stocking in black ink, onto the white card, slightly towards the right hand side. Colour the ribbons with a dark pink marker pen.
Cut a piece of white card approximately 8cm square, ink all over it with pale pink ink, then use a foam ink blending tool to ink through a heart design stencil with dark pink ink. Stamp the stocking onto this piece with black ink and fussy cut the stocking part leaving off the cuff at the top. Stamp the stocking onto white card with black ink, and fussy cut the cuff and the heel patch, colour the heel patch with dark pink ink. Stamp the stocking again, this time on silver glitter card and cut out the two hearts. Make sure to cut just inside the stamped line as the black ink looks grey on the glitter card. This way the silver hearts will sit just inside the black stamped lines that are already on the other pieces. Glue the stocking, cuff, heel patch and hearts onto the first stamped image.
Adhere the silver layer and the stocking layer to the card front. Die cut the sentiment from dark pink card and the backing from silver glitter card. Glue the two together, slightly offset so that a little of the glitter card is visible. Glue the sentiment to the front of the card, to the left side, overlapping the stocking.
The layers of the stocking add some dimension to the card and the pink and silver colour scheme is lovely for a change. I hope you like it, thank you for visiting. All the products used are linked below.
