Hi, I wanted to make a bright and cheery card for a spring birthday. I think I have definitely achieved my aim! This is an easy card to make once you have selected the colours for the flowers and leaves. I chose white for the envelope so that all those pretty flowers would show up clearly.
To Make The Card
Start with a white 5″ x 7″ blank card and trim the length to 15.5cm so that the die cut layers fit. Cut a postage stamp layer in pink, a pierced layer in white and another postage stamp layer in pink and adhere them all to the card front. Die cut the envelope from white card, fold along the crease lines and glue the flaps in place.
Die cut a selection of flowers, leaves and leafy stems from a mixture of colours, with one or two in the same pink as the background layers. Glue the envelope to the card front at an angle. Arrange the flowers and leaves so that they are spilling out of the envelope, with the biggest flower on the outside of the envelope. Stamp the sentiment in black in the bottom right hand corner and add some self adhesive clear crystals for the finishing touch.
I like the idea of combining the postage stamp frames with the die cut envelope. I think it’s a pretty card which would also work very well as a Mother’s Day card. I hope you like it too, thank you for visiting, all the products used are linked below.
