Hi this is a simple but pretty birthday card using the lovely Spellbinders Field of Flowers stamp set. The intricate design of the stamped flowers needed little more than a sentiment to finish the card.
Hi this is a simple but pretty birthday card using the lovely Spellbinders Field of Flowers stamp set. The intricate design of the stamped flowers needed little more than a sentiment to finish the card.
To Make The Card
Start with a white 5″ x 7″ blank card and trim it down to 11cm x 15cm. Die cut a stitched edge rectangle, 10.5cm x 14.5cm, from light blue card and adhere to the card front. Cut a piece of white card 9.5cm x 13.5cm, stamp the field of flowers with black ink about half a centimetre up from the bottom of the panel. Colour the flowers and leaves in a mixture of colours. As most of the flowers, petals and leaves are quite small I used alcohol marker pens in quite bright colours so that they would show up well.
Stamp the Birthday Wishes sentiment in black ink on a strip of light blue card and cut each end diagonally. Adhere this sentiment strip to the top left hand area of the flower panel.
I like this card very much, I felt the multicoloured flowers had enough detail so didn’t need any further adornment or embellishment, just the simple sentiment. Although the card is not difficult to make, the detailed colouring does require a little patience! Thank you for your visit, I hope you like the card too. All the products used are linked below.
