Hi, it’s time for a couple of Father’s Day cards now, ready for next month. This first one is a very simple design but you do need to allow a little time for the colouring. I don’t usually but bling on cards for men but I thought in this case the two crystals either side of the sentiment worked well and drew attention to it without looking too girly.
To Make The Card
Start with a white A6 blank card and layer it with black card. Cut a piece of white card 9.75cm x 14cm, then use black ink to randomly stamp the beer bottles all over it. Let some of the bottles overlap the edge of the card and leaves spaces between them for the other stamps. With the same black ink stamp the word Cheers in between the bottles, then stamp stars in between the bottles and cheers.
Use alcohol ink marker pens to colour the bottles and stars, with hindsight, a bit of glitter on the stars might have been nice! Stamp the Happy Father’s Day sentiment in black ink on a strip of white card. Cut a strip of black card 10.25cm x 1.4cm, adhere the stamped sentiment to the centre of the black strip. Adhere the black strip across the card front about two thirds of the way down. Add a gold coloured adhesive crystal either side of the stamped sentiment.
I am very pleased with this card, I like it’s simplicity and the fun message. You could easily change the sentiment to turn it into a beer lover’s birthday card. Thank you for visiting, I hope you like it too. All the products used are linked below.
