Hi, this is the first in a series of cards that I plan to make featuring strips and stripes. It is part of a quest to use up some of the mountain of card scraps that I have accumulated. This is an easy card to make, and could be adapted to lots of different occasions just by changing the sentiment.
To Make The Card
This is an easy card to make, once you have chosen your colour scheme for the stripes. Start with an A6 white blank card, and cut a piece of white card 7cm x 7cm. Cut the strips of coloured card, 1cm deep and a little over 7cm wide. I cut two strips each of bright shades of turquoise, pink and yellow and a single strip of turquoise glitter card.
Glue the card strips to the white square and trim off the excess. Position the striped square on the card blank to get the position for the sentiment. Stamp the sentiment in pink ink. Once the sentiment is dry, adhere the striped square with thin foam pads. Die cut a leafy sprig from white card and glue onto the striped square.
As I mentioned earlier, this is a quick card to put together, that can be adapted to suit lots of different occasions. The effect is very striking and has used up some left over card. I hope you like it, and if you would like to try it for yourself, all the products used are listed below. Thanks for visiting.
