Hi, I have been picking and eating strawberries from my garden for the last few weeks, so it seemed like the perfect time to make a strawberry themed card. I used the new Lawn Fawn Strawberry Patch die set to make these lovely strawberries, that look good enough to eat.

Hand made birthday card with die cut strawberries.

To Make The Card

Start with a 5″ x 7″ white blank card and trim it down to 12cm x 16cm. Add a layer of red card and a yellow polka dot paper, each 0.5cm smaller than the card blank. Use the rectangles with small stripes edging die set to cut a white rectangle 7.5cm x 11.5cm. Adhere the white panel to the centre of the card.

Cut two large and one small strawberries from red card and the same from dark red card with the solid strawberry shape dies. Adhere the dark red pieces to the back of the red strawberries so that the holes look like dark seeds. Use a light green card to cut two large and one small caps for the strawberries, and three of the leafy stems. Glue the caps on to the strawberries, then arrange the strawberries and leaves at the top and bottom of the white panel as shown in the photo and adhere in place.

Cut the greeting out from the Wordies sheet and adhere across the centre of the white panel, with adhesive foam pads. Add some clear enamel dots for the finishing touch to give a fresh dewy look.

I love the way this card just shouts summer with vibrant colours and those juicy strawberries. I have used a birthday sentiment but I think this would also work well for lots of other occasions. Thank you for looking in, I hope you like the card. All the products used are linked below.
