Hi, this Valentine card uses the cut out hearts that were left over from my previous card, it’s good to know nothing goes to waste. The hearts were cut from a piece of card that had been inked with an ombre effect from pink to purple. This creates a mixture of single colour and two tone hearts.
To Make The Card
Start with a 6″ x 6″ white blank card, then trim it to 14.5cm square. Layer it with purple, then pink card. Die cut a square of white card using the 11.5cm die from the Nested Squares with Small Stripes Decoration set. Adhere this over the pink layer. Die cut the bare tree from black card, and glue it in the centre of the white square. Arrange the small hearts on the ends of the branches with some falling from the tree on the left side of the trunk. Die cut the word Love from black card and adhere to the right side of the trunk. Add another couple of hearts to the right side for extra decoration.
I like the contrast between the black and the pink/purple hearts, and the overall simplicity of the card. Thank you for visiting, I hope you like it too. You can find links below to all the supplies used.
