Hi everyone, I haven’t done a triple layer stamping card for a long time, but I thought the effect would be perfect to show off this lovely Holly Spray stamp. The layers of gold add a feeling of luxury to an otherwise simple card.
To Make The Card
Cut three pieces of white card measuring 14cm x 9.75cm, 12cm x 7.75cm and 10cm x 5.75cm. Position these centrally on top of one another, use low tack tape to hold them in position. Stamp the image so that parts of it are across all three layers of card. This is a good time to use a stamp positioning tool like the Press to Impress as you need to apply quite a lot of pressure to make sure the ink reaches the bottom layer of card. With the Press to Impress you can check that it is stamped correctly and if not, re-ink and stamp again until you are happy with the stamp in exactly the same position. Once you are happy with the stamping, remove the tape and colour the image.
Now cut three pieces of gold card each one half a centimetre bigger than the white layers, i.e. 14.5cm x 10.25, 12.5cm x 8.25cm and 10.5cm x 6.25. Take an A6 white blank card and adhere all the layers to it starting with gold and alternating with the stamped layers.
Stamp the Season’s Greetings sentiment from the same stamp set, in black on white card. Cut the sentiment into a strip and back with gold card. Adhere the sentiment to the bottom area of the card, using glue on the left end and a thin foam pad on the right to compensate for the card layers. I am very happy with the end result of this card, and the layered effect of the stamping. Thank you for calling in, I hope you like it too. All the supplies used are linked below.
