Hi everyone, here is a card by our guest designer Garcia, using the new Neon Polishes from Creative Expressions. At first glance it seems as though it would be difficult to find much to do with such vivid colours but here they work perfectly with the black and create a really stunning card.
To Make the Card
Cut a piece of white card approximately 12cm x 17cm, (this is bigger than needed but will be cut down later and provides an edge to hold on to). Spritz the card lightly with water on both sides. Apply yellow neon to one side, blending from one of the short ends towards the centre. Apply the Green neon from the other end, blending in to the yellow at the centre. Don’t go too far up with the green. Set aside to dry. Continue to add neon polish until you are happy with the intensity, allowing it to dry completely between applications.
Fold a piece of lime green card to create a card blank measuring 12.5cm x 16.5cm when folded. Apply Green neon polish to all four edges of the Lime green folded card front. This will brighten the colour and bring it closer to the Neon panel. Swipe the neon panel with an anti-static bag. Stamp the dragonfly, using a black pigment ink and apply detail clear embossing powder. Heat to set. Paint the leaves and parts of the wings with green polish. To paint with the polish, put a very small amount onto your craft sheet/palette, work it into your fine brush, then paint. Allow to dry. Cut your stamped panel down to A6 in size. To complete the card mount the panel onto black card and then onto the front of the folded lime green card.
What a fabulous card, the neon colours really pop against the black background and the dragonfly stamp is gorgeous. Thank you for calling in, I hope you like it too. All the supplies that were used are linked below.
