Hi Everyone, here’s another Mother’s Day card, featuring a large Dog Rose flower, with a rich pink and gold colour scheme. The flower is part of the lovely Woodware Dog Rose stamp set which is fast becoming a favourite of mine.
To Make the Card
Start with a white 6″ x 6″ blank card, layer it with pink card and then white hammered card. Cut a strip of pink card 14.75cm x 3cm, a piece of white 14.75cm x 2.5cm and a piece of patterned paper 14.75cm x 2cm. Adhere these on top of one another and the adhere to the card towards the right hand side.
Cut a piece of pink card 11cm x 9cm and layer it with white card. Adhere this to the front of the card using adhesive foam tape to lift it over the decorative strip.
Stamp the flower and heat emboss with gold embossing powder. Colour the flower with marker pens, pencils or watercolours. Fussy cut the flower and adhere it to the top right corner of the panel. Only adhere the centre of the flower so that you can slot the leaves underneath. Die cut three leaf stems from gold card, add glue to the bottom leaves and stem and position them under the flower.
To finish the card add a gold Happy Mothers Day peel off and a row of adhesive gold gems.
This card is for a recipient whose eyesight is failing so needs a big bold design, I think it fits the bill perfectly. I hope you like it too. Thanks for calling in.
