This lovely Christmas card is another by our guest designer Garcia Wild, quite a change of style from her last one. The simple, bold sentiment I perfect over the sparkly, stencilled, textured background.
To Make the Card
Take a piece of dark green card, approx 13.5cm x 13.5cm. Use stencil tape to hold the stencil in position over the card. Spread the glitter paste evenly over the stencil. Remove the stencil and wash off the glitter paste before it dries. Put the card on one side for the glitter paste to dry.
Take a 6″ x 6″ white card blank and layer it with silver mirror card cut to 14cm square. Trim the stencilled green card to 13cm square and adhere over the mirror card.
Cut a piece of white card 4.5cm x 9cm and stamp the greeting, heat emboss with metallic silver embossing powder. Adhere this to a piece of silver mirror card cut to 5.3cm x 9.8cm. Use foam tape to adhere this to the card front. Decorate with a few red sequins.
This is a fab card, I love the way you can see the green of the card through the translucent glitter paste. I also really like the combination of dark green and silver, very classy. Thank you for dropping in, I hope you like the card.
