Hi Everyone, here’s my next Christmas card, I couldn’t resist using more of the paper from the Christmas Tartan paper pad. Everything about this card is traditional, right down to the little jingle bell attached to the bow at the top.
To Make the Card
Start with a 5″ x 7″ cream blank card and layer it with red card. Cut a piece of cream pearlescent card approx. 11.7cm x 13cm, then die cut the bottom edge using a stitched edger die to create a V shape. Cut a piece of red and green tartan paper approx 11.7cm x 8.5cm. Position the cream card over the tartan and glue them together. Cut a length of ribbon and tie it round the cream card near the top, with the jingle bell attached to the bow.
Adhere the cream and tartan piece to the card front. Cut a strip of tartan paper and adhere it just below the ribbon. Die cut several pine branches and mistletoe stems from green card. Arrange them in a cluster with the stems tucked under the bow and bell. Finish the card off by stamping Merry Christmas to the right of the mistletoe and pine in green ink.
The end result is a classic combination of traditional Christmas colours, patterns and symbols. Thank you for visiting, I hope you like it.
