Hi Everyone, I have been thinking about the different situations that people are in during this Coronavirus outbreak. Unfortunately many people are ill, and are in isolation, so a card to wish them a speedy recovery would probably be very welcome.
To Make the Card
Start with a piece of white card 10.25cm x 14.5cm, fix the Distressed Brick stencil over it with removable tape. Use stencil brushes to apply Distress Oxide ink through the stencil, in yellow, orange, beige and light brown. Apply the colour more heavily in some areas to give variation to the background. Adhere this to an A6 white blank card.
Die cut two rectangular and one hexagonal frames using the dies in the Geo Floral Frame die set. Arrange these on top of one another at an angle and adhere to the centre of the card front.
Die cut flowers in a mixture of co-ordinating colours, layering them to add depth. Die cut leaf stems and branches in different shades of green. Arrange and adhere the flowers and leaves in opposite corners of the frames. Add a die cut Get Well Soon greeting across the right hand side of the frames using adhesive foam pads to lift it over the frames.
I was looking forward to using this new die set and I wasn’t disappointed, the effect is lovely, I can see it becoming a firm favourite in the future. I hope you like it and would love to hear your comments. Thank you for visiting.
