Hi Everyone, Birch Press made layered die cutting popular, now other manufacturers are bringing out similar products. One of these is the Presscut Star multi layered die set, which I used to make this birthday card. This type of die set really takes care of the design itself, leaving you only the colour scheme to consider.
To Make the Card
Start with a 6 x 6 inch white card blank and layer it with dark pink and silver glitter card. Die cut three layers, Layer A in the same dark pink, Layer B in mid pink and Layer C in light pink. Glue the three layers in position on top of each other, then glue over the silver glitter layer.
Die cut a pennant shape from white card and stamp a birthday greeting in co-ordinating ink. Attach this to the lower right area of the card with a dark red paper rose at one end.
The silver glitter background sparkles through the die cut shapes beautifully, adding a touch of luxury. The simple greeting and embellishment work perfectly, not hiding too much of the layered die cutting.
Thank you for visiting, I hope you like the card too. All the products are linked below.
