Hi Everyone, I love these snowflake dies, the shapes they cut are so delicate and look equally good in layers as on their own. I also returned to an old favourite die set Spellbinders Curved Borders, a really useful set to have on hand to add shape and interest to cut edges on your cards.
I started with a 5in x7in cream blank card and layered it with dark red card, then the tartan paper. I cut a piece of cream card the same width as the tartan paper and die cut a curved stitched edge across the top of it. I stamped the greeting on the largest part of the cream card and adhered it to the bottom portion of the card.
I die cut five snowflakes in different sizes from gold, cream and dark red card I layered cream on gold and dark red on cream and adhered them to the card front. I added gold adhesive metal gems to the centres of the snowflakes and scattered around both the snowflakes and the greeting.
I really like this colour scheme for Christmas, not quite traditional red and green but close and with a softer feel. The gold metallic gems add just enough bling to finish it off. Thank you for dropping in, I hope you like it too. All the products used are linked below.
