Hi everyone, there’s a bit of everything on this Christmas card, stamping, colouring, paper piecing and dry embossing! I love the design of this new embossing folder from Crafters Companion, and the holly matches the holly sprig on the stamp.
I started with a 12.5cm cream blank card, cut a 12cm square piece of dark green card and embossed the holly flourish design onto it, then tied a length of green gingham ribbon around it, taped it in place, tied it in a simple knot and trimmed the ends.
I stamped the Christmas Date stamp onto cream card using black ink, then cut it out and glued it to dark red card. I stamped it again on tartan paper, cut out the numbers 2 and 5 and glued them over the stamped numbers on the cream card.
I used a white gel pen to add a dot of colour to each of the snowflakes and use Copic markers to colour the holly and berries.
I used adhesive foam pads to fix the stamped panel to the card front to lift it above the ribbon and add some extra dimension to the card.
I am very happy with the finished result, I like the traditional colours and the extra touch that the tartan paper brings. Thank you for visiting, I hope you like it too. All supplies are linked below.
