Hi Everyone, my friend and her husband recently celebrated their silver wedding and I couldn’t let the occasion pass without a hand made card. The little champagne glasses are ready made embellishments which makes that part really easy, they look great with the silver foiling detail.
The silver and white colour scheme was an easy choice and the embossed background adds some texture. I didn’t have any patterned paper suitable for the occasion so I made the 25 years script on the computer, this is available as a free download now, along with red and gold versions for ruby and gold anniversaries.
The card blank is a 12.5cm white square, layered with silver mirror card and white embossed card. The champagne glasses are glued over the 25 years patterned paper which is layered onto matt silver card cut to 6 x 6cm. I used adhesive foam pads to adhere this to raise it up a little. I had to trim a little bit off the tails of the die cut congratulations so that they didn’t hang over the edge of the card and finally added some silver adhesive metal gems to the top corners.
I am happy with the end result and the recipients liked it too. I have linked to the supplies below. Thank you for visiting, I hope you like it too.
