Hi Everyone, here’s another card made as a Fathers Day card but which could be used for a birthday instead, just by changing the greeting. It’s also a great way to use up left over scraps of patterned paper.
To Make the Card
Start with a 15cm square white blank card, layer with black card and cut a 13.5cm square of white card. Die cut a 9.5cm circle from the white card, centred horizontally but slightly closer to the top of the white card so as to leave room for the greeting at the bottom.
Cut a piece of blue textured card big enough to go behind the die cut circle and glue it in position, then glue the white card on top. Hand cut strips of different colours and patterns of paper into tie shapes, curl the ends over the bar of the coat hanger and glue them to the back of each tie, let the ties overlap in places and spread out a little. Glue the coat hanger in place and use 1mm foam pads to stick the ends of the ties in place.
Fix the Happy Fathers Day peel off in the bottom right hand corner of the card.
This is such a flexible design, the colour scheme can easily be changed and any selection of papers can be used for the ties, depending on what you have to hand. All the supplies are listed below, thanks for visiting, hope you like it.
