Hi Everyone, I have finally managed to put down the large snowflake die and try out something else, today it’s another new product on the website, a Merry Christmas Flourish die. It’s a great die set which cuts two small leaping reindeer and a small bauble as well as the main greeting. I decided to go bold for the first use and cut it out in gold mirror card, I am pleased to say it has lived up to expectations. I am going to use this die to make a Christmas card for my Mum in law who’s eyesight is failing, I think the big merry Christmas will stand out enough for her to be able to see it.
Start with a white 13cm square card blank, cut a piece of cream patterned paper the same size to cover the whole card front. Layer this with gold mirror card and black and gold patterned paper. Cut a 10.5cm square piece of gold mirror card and a piece of the cream patterned paper 10cm square, layer these two together.
Die cut the merry Christmas twice once from gold mirror card and once from white card, glue the gold one on top of the white one to give it some extra dimension, glue this to the front panel. Die cut two holly leaves from the black and gold patterned paper and a holly berry from gold mirror card, adhere these below the die cut merry Christmas. Adhere one of the small reindeer above the merry Christmas.
Use foam tape or pads to fix the front panel to the card to lift it a little.
I am really pleased with the Merry Christmas die specially with the extra layer of card underneath to give it a 3D appearance. This would be a good card for a male recipient and would also work really well in all sorts of other colour schemes. Thank
Thank you for visiting, I hope you like it and look forward to reading your comments.
