Hi Everyone, looking back over Easter cards that I have made in the past, they are usually in bright springlike colours, so I decided to make one in a much more muted, distressed style for a change. I couldn’t resist adding a little bunny rabbit but I think he fits in very well. I hope you like it, please take a moment to leave a comment below and tell me what you think.
Thanks
Debbie x
Start with a white A6 card blank, cut a piece of patterned paper to 5mm smaller, distress the edges and ink unevenly all around the edges with Frayed Burlap, making some areas darker than others. Attach this to the card front.
Cut a piece of wood panel paper to 7.75 x 12.5cm, again distress and ink the edges, also ink the back of the the top left corner and roll this over to the front and glue in place. (This only works if you use double sided paper). Wrap a length of 5cm wide lace around the wood panel paper and adhere at the back. then adhere the whole thing to the card at an angle.
Die cut an egg shape from patterned paper, and a sitting rabbit, ink around the edges of the rabbit, but not the egg (I cut the egg from paper with a distressed design and felt that was enough). Use double sided tape and 1mm foam pads to fix the egg on the lace.
Die cut a piece of foliage from Kraft Core paper and lightly sand so that the Kraft colour shows through in places. Attach flowers, leaves and die cut foliage to the bottom of the egg and flowers into the corner where the paper is rolled over. Attach the die cut rabbit so he is slightly hidden by the flowers and overlaps the egg. Add a self adhesive pearl to the corner of the rolled over paper to look as though it is pinned down.
Finally stamp the greeting onto patterned paper, cut it into a small strip, ink around the edges and attach with adhesive foam pads to the top corner of the wood panel paper.

A pretty card , the bunny looks quite at home. I can't believe it's nearly Easter, time is just flying by so quickly. X
