Hi Everyone todays card is a great way to use up smaller pieces of patterned paper left over from other cards and projects. I used the Jingle All The Way 12 x 12 pad for this, one of the designs is a sheet of various Christmas greetings and sayings, the ‘Have a Holly Jolly Christmas’ one was my starting point for this card.
Start with an A6 white blank card and cut a piece of patterned paper very slightly smaller to leave just a 1mm border all round. Cut two squares of burgundy card 4.8cm and two rectangles 4.8 x 9cm. From the Jingle All The Way 12 x 12 paper pad cut the Holly Jolly Christmas square to 4.4cm and a gold foiled leaping reindeer the same size. Cut the striped panel to 4.4 x 8.8cm and cut a patterned piece the same size. Layer up the patterned paper on to the burgundy card and use double sided tape to fix all the panels to the front of the card.
Die cut two of the smaller holly branches out of dark green card and trim the bottom leaves off one of them. Glue the two holly branches together to make one and use a quickie glue pen to adhere them to the striped panel.
Use two clusters, of three gold metal gems, to represent the holly berries and stick them to the parts of the die cut holly that are made for berries.
The trickiest thing about this card was working out all the measurements so that everything was equal, after that it was just a lot of cutting and sticking, as long as you have coordinated paper you can adapt the design to suit. I am very pleased with the results, hope you like it too. Thank you for reading, please leave a comment to let me know what you think.
