Hi Everyone, continuing with my theme of using our shaker domes for things other than shaker cards, I have made a hanging ornament to congratulate the birth of a baby. Of course you could make something similar for any occasion, I have plans to make Christmas decorations too.
I die cut a circle of the pink striped paper, die cut a pram from pink card and glued this in the centre. I used a silver congratulations peel off and curved it slightly as I stuck it down to follow the curve of the circle and used peel off numbers to put the date at the bottom and peel off letters for the full stops.
I then glued a round shaker some over the top. I removed the inner ring from the embroidery hoop and glued the outer ring over the shaker dome.
I tied a pink gingham bow and glued it to the top of the embroidery hoop and used the same ribbon to make a hanging loop.
I think this would look lovely hanging in a baby’s bedroom, using the shaker dome inside the embroidery hoop gives it structure and keeps the dust off the picture. I’m very pleased with the way it turned out specially as it was pretty quick to put together. Please leave a comment below to let me know what you think.
Thanks for reading.
