Hi Everyone, the birth flowers for the month of September are Aster and Morning Glory, when I looked for Morning Glory craft supplies I drew a blank, so have made three Aster cards, I used different supplies and techniques for the cards to create some variety, I hope you like what I have come up with.
For my first card I used an Aster print which comes from a sheet of 6, that you can cut out however you want. The color and style of the print has a bit of an antique or vintage feel to it so I used that as the basis for the design.
- Cream A6 blank card and envelope
- White card
- Tea Dye Distress Ink pad
- Aster flower print sheet
- Purple organza ribbon
- 5mm adhesive natural pearls
- Copper Sharpie pen
- Majestic Labels 2 die cutting set
- Decorative Rectangles die cutting set
- Terrific Tags die cutting set
- Violet pigment ink pad
- Spring Crocus clear stamp set
- Happy stamp and die set
- White 12.5cm square blank card and envelope
- Sweet Nothings 6 x 6 inch paper pad
- Gold mirror card
- Chrissy Mulberry paper flowers turquoise and pink
- Frame and Swirls die cutting set
- Curved Borders 2 die cutting set
- White and gold die cut birthday greetings
- Turquoise ribbon
- Adhesive tape runner
The brick wall background was stamped onto cream card using Tea Dye distress ink and trimmed to fit onto a square white card blank.
The flower and butterfly were stamped onto white card, die cut and colored with marker pens. The two plant pots were fussy cut from a download sheet, the bigger pot was attached using foam pads to raise it up from the card and positioned over the bottom part of the Aster plant. The second, smaller pot was also attached with foam pads and positioned on it’s side and slightly overlapping the larger pot.
The greeting was stamped with Violet pigment ink.
