Hello There! It’s been in the back of my mind for a while to use the negative area of a die cut make an aperture rather than a shape, finally got round to it with this anniversary card. I thought with the simplicity and the colors this would make a good card for a woman to give to her husband.
I used a standard A6 white card blank for the base and cut a piece of white card about 4mm smaller all round, then die cut a heart shape from the white card.
I cut a piece of patterned paper bigger than the size of the cut out heart and attached that to the card blank where the heart shaped opening will be. The paper is lovely pearlised paper from one of our new paper pads you can’t really see that in the photo. I attached the white card with foam pads so that it is raised up from the base.
The word ‘happy’ is die cut from black card and attached across the bottom of the heart shape and the word ‘anniversary’ is stamped in black ink.
I really like this card and the possibilities for switching up the patterned paper and the die cut word to cater for lots of different occasions.
