Hi Everyone
Here’s a card to celebrate the birth of a new baby boy. The nice thing about baby cards is that you can’t go wrong if you want to keep to traditional colors which makes one decision for you straight away.
So as you can see I chose a traditional blue for this card, I started with a square white card blank and layered that with blue card that had been embossed with a swiss dot embossing folder. I wrapped blue grosgrain ribbon topped with a baby boy ribbon around the blue layer before adhering it to the card blank.
I cut and layered smaller squares of white and blue card and added a blue baby in a pram card topper to these layers and adhered this to the centre of the card. The greeting is a blue peel off on layers of blue and white card positioned below the centerpiece.
5mm pearls at the corners of the card and 3mm pearls at the corners of the centerpiece finish it all off.
This is a classic layout where there are lots of variations you can make, not least to do it in pink for a baby girl. It’s always nice to make a card for such a happy event.
Thanks for dropping in, hope you like it, as always I look forward to your comments.
