For many of us Mothers Day will be celebrated on Sunday 26th March this year, so now is the time to plan your cards, this is the first of three that i have made this year each one using a different technique or style.
I really love this cute little bunny rabbit stamp and it’s perfect for Mother’s Day with a lovely bouquet of flowers.
I started with a square white card blank and layered that with purple card and a butterfly patterned paper.
I cut and layered rectangles of purple and white card, cutting slits at either end to thread the silver ribbon through and stamped the greeting in black ink. I glued the ends of the ribbon
to the back of the purple card before attaching it to the card blank.
I die cut a fancy heart from purple card and a slightly smaller plain heart from white card. The rabbit is stamped in black onto the white heart and colored with water colour pencils. The stamped heart is layered onto the purple one and adhered to the card front as shown, a lilac wire and mesh butterfly adds dimension.
For me this is a really cute Mother’s Day card, hope you like it too!
