I can’t believe we are already thinking about birthdays in the New Year, and the start of our Birthday Blossoms feature.
Each birth month has flowers that are associated with it, the birth flowers for January are snowdrops and carnations. I chose snowdrops for my cards as the flower shape is much more distinctive than carnations and as they only bloom from January to March they seem the most fitting for January birthdays.
The first of the three cards uses just the snowdrop from this Robin and Snowdrop clear stamp.

You can either mask off the robin or stamp the whole thing and cut the snowdrop out.
As you can see I have done double layers of white, green and black card on a 12.5cm square blank card. I stamped, colored and cut out the snowdrop to use as the centerpiece. I used 1mm foam pads to stick the snowdrop just to add a bit of dimension. A simple Happy Birthday stamped in white pigment ink and some matching green crystals finished it off. I love this color scheme!
The second card is made very easily using a Hunkydory Winter Wildlife card topper set.  
The die cut card topper that I have used from the set is a picture of a mole popping out of snowy ground next to a snowdrop plant. The set also contains two A4 sheets of printed card, one with the lovely snowdrop border, which looks great down the side of the card. The set contains Christmas greetings so I used a simple gold and white die cut birthday greeting instead. A few gold adhesive metal gems at the corner add a finishing touch.
The third card has a quilled snowdrop plant, set on a mound of snow. 

 I have to be honest and say my daughter Garcia made the quilled snowdrop, she is the quilling expert, I just made the card for it. She used green and white 3mm quilling paper and a variety of quilling tools to create the different elements. I layered dark green card onto a white 12.5cm square card blank and matted that with blue card that I had inked with white ink to give an appearance of sky and add some texture. I die cut the curved shape from white card and added some lines of diamond glitter glue for a snow effect. The silver happy birthday greeting is a peel off.

Three different cards but all featuring snowdrops, perfect for anyone with a January birthday.
