For the fifth card in this series I wanted to use the second inset die from the set, when I looked at it closely I noticed that part of the design looks like heart shapes so thought a wedding card would be appropriate.
I started with a 15cm square white card blank for the base. As the inset dies don’t cut an edge I used some masking tape to stick two of the dies together so that I could have the inset design and cut the cream card in half at the same time. Then I had to run half the cream card through again with the inset die positioned close to the edge to give me the inset design on both halves of the card.
The two halves of cream card were trimmed to fit the card blank with a gap between them and a piece of gold card was put behind the cream card so that it shows through the cut out design and the gap between the two pieces of cream card.
I used foam pads to stick the large hearts to give a little dimension, the greeting and small hearts are all peel offs. I like this greeting as it could also be used for an engagement or anniversary card.
Materials used:
- 15cm square white blank card and envelope.
- Cream and gold card stock.
- Spellbinders Curved Border Dies 2.
- 1mm adhesive foam pads.
- Love Heart embellishment large, gold.
- Wedding Day peel off stickers gold.
Cream and gold is a favourite colour combination of mine so this card was always a winner for me! Thank you for visiting, I hope you like it too. I look forward to reading your comments.
