I like this chalkboard style and thought it would be a good way to make a card for a man, of course you could do the same thing but changing the colour scheme would soon give it a more feminine look.
The card was really easy to make as the greeting in the centre is a single stamp. I started with a 15cm square card blank, trimmed a sheet of chalkboard card to 14.5cm sq and a piece of red card to 14cm sq and die cut the fancy square shape out of the red card. White ink blended over the surface of the chalkboard gives it a sort of dusty look. I layered the chalkboard card and the red card as shown and stamped the greeting in white ink. Charcoal pearls at the corners finished it off.
Materials used:
- 15cm square white card blank
- red card
- black chalkboard card
- Decorative Squares die cutter
- Birthdays Are Good For You clear stamp
- Frost White Cats Eye ink pad
- Foam ink blending tool
- 5mm Charcoal self adhesive pearls
I am pleased with the way it turned out, hope you like it too.
