Hi Everyone
As I sat watching the news coverage yesterday of the birth of the new royal baby girl I started thinking about all the cards and gifts that they will receive, and that made me think about making a new baby card myself! So to congratulate the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the safe arrival of their daughter here is my card. I won’t actually send it to them but it was nice to make it all the same. (It’s a bit pinker that it looks in the photo.)
I used a 15 x 15cm blank white card and covered it with two colours of pink card, I used a strip of grosgrain ribbon to cover the join in the card and topped that with some “it’s a girl” ribbon tied into a simple bow. I die cut a scalloped and a plain circle of card, stuck them on top of each other and adhered the baby in a pram embellishment to the top, I used foam pads to stick this to the card to lift it over the ribbon and off the page slightly, the greeting is stamped in white on pink card layered on to white and it’s all finished off with some pink adhesive pearls at the corners. Very easy but a cute card all the same, of course you could do exactly the same thing in blue if the baby in question is a boy.
