The second Mothers Day card that I made this year is very different to the previous one, I used a stamped image of crocus flowers, and a couple of tricks with ProMarker pens to finish it off.
I used a sheet of purple Core’dinations card stock layered onto a white card blank, the image is stamped in black ink onto white card and colored with Amethyst, Apple and Mandarin ProMarker pens. I used the Amethyst ProMarker to draw a border around the edge of a piece of white card and layered the stamped image onto it, making it look like a layer of purple card that matched the colored flowers perfectly. I tied a plain bow of lilac gingham ribbon around the two layers of card across the flower stems, then mounted this onto white card and adhered it to the card blank. I used natural colored self adhesive pearls and colored them with the Apple ProMarker, again giving me perfectly co-ordinated embellishments. I stamped the greeting in black on to white card and again edged it with the Amethyst pro-marker.
I am very pleased with the co-ordinated finish that I got from using ProMarkers to color the background and pearls I will be doing this more often!
