This is a card that I made for a friend’s birthday recently. It is the first time that I have tried paper piecing and once I got going I really enjoyed it. The Woodware stamp is a lovely versatile stamp that could be used for Valentines, weddings, birthdays anniversaries etc.
I stamped the image onto different patterned and plain papers and then cut out different parts of each one and combined them to create the sort of patchwork looking owls below. The patterned papers that I used are actually from a Christmas pad so don’t put your Christmas papers away yet many of the ones that are striped, spotted etc. can be used all year round.
- 15cm white card blank and envelope
- Various patterned papers from the ‘Be Merry’ pad
- Plain pink card
- Mint green super sheer ribbon
- Owl Love clear stamp
- Black ink pad
- Black Small Text peel off
- Red 5mm self adhesive pearls
- 3mm Christmas Rhinestone Stickers
Love this card. The owls are cute. Thank you for lovely idea!
Lovely card!
Thanks Dorothy!
