Continuing with Christmas card making I wanted to try out a couple of new products, a snowflake die cutting set and ultra fine glitter.
I started with a standard A6 blank white card, then cut a piece of red card slightly smaller than the card base and cut a rectangular aperture in the middle of it. I stuck strips of 6mm double sided tape around the aperture, then peeled off the backing paper and sprinkled silver glitter onto it to create the sparkly frame. I marked the edges of the aperture on the card blank with a pencil so that I could position the stamp correctly and stamped the tree with red ink and embossed it with translucent powder. Red card candies were stuck on the circles that were stamped and a crystal flower made the star on top of the tree. The frame was then glued over the stamped image.
I die cut the snowflakes from white glitter card and stuck a red adhesive pearl in the centre of each one and finished off with a peel off greeting.
I am pleased that the snowflake dies cut beautifully even through the thick glitter card.
