I can’t remember the last time I made a wedding card so when I was invited to go to a wedding party last week I was eager to make a card for the happy couple.
I can’t remember the last time I made a wedding card so when I was invited to go to a wedding party last week I was eager to make a card for the happy couple. I have recently added some new embossing folders to the website including a fancy lattice design which I decided would work well for this card.
The card was very easy to make although it was a bit fiddly getting all the little pearls into place!
I started with an A6 white card blank, embossed a piece of white card with the Fancy Lattice embossing folder and trimmed it to about two thirds the height of the card, I attached a plain piece of white card to it and wrapped the purple ribbon round to cover the join and tied a bow in the centre. I adhered this to the front of the card blank, stuck a gold congratulations peel off in the top portion, a gold and pearl heart embellishment on top of the bow and a 3mm gold adhesive pearl to each intersection on the embossed lattice pattern. I also put an “on your wedding day” peel off inside the card but forgot to photograph that before I gave the card to the bride and groom.
Materials Used:
- White A6 card blank and envelope
- White card
- Fancy Lattice embossing folder
- Purple sheer ribbon
- Gold Congratulations and Wedding Day peel offs
- 3mm gold self adhesive pearls
- Vintage style gold and pearl heart embellishment
Thanks for calling in, hope you like it.
