This is my latest Christmas card in traditional colours for the season of red, green and white. I am pleased with the poinsettia flower as I made it using a normal flower die cutter from Marianne Design instead of a specific poinsettia cutter, I like dies that are versatile! I cut two of the larger sets of petals, one in red and one in green and one of the smaller petal set also in red. I glued them on top of each other, offset, so that you can see the green leaves between the red petals. I used three tiny, gold rhinestone stickers for the centre of the flower.
The snowflake embossing folder used on the white card gives it texture and maintains the Christmas theme. The greeting is stamped in green onto a die cut shape mounted on red and green circles of card, the red sheer ribbon covers the join between the embossed card and the striped background paper and also adds a decorative element. The red adhesive candies finish it off.
