We have had this lovely Joy Crafts, Butterfly die cutting stencil in stock since the start of the summer but this is the first chance I have had to try it out. It is made up of three different sized butterflies and I have used all three on this card.
The background paper is some from my personal stash that I have had for ages and never found a use for until now it’s funny how everything gets used in the end!
I layered orange card and the pink paper on a cream A6 card blank, the butterflies are cut from the same orange card and I inked the edges of the butterflies with a red ink pad, which happily came out looking pinkish on the orange card. I used adhesive pearls to decorate the bodies of the butterflies and bent and curved the wings slightly so that they would stand off the card a little. I used the copper Happy Birthday peel off to finish it off which worked well with the pink and orange.
